Rum is the most traditional spirit in Central America and the Caribbean. Its unique flavor comes from the making process, and ageing in fine oak barrels.
Ron Centenario 20 Year Fundacion Costa Rican Rum is distilled from Costa Rican sugarcane, the rum is then aged in used bourbon barrels. It is blended using the Solera method with 20-year old rums being the oldest part of the blend. The rum has a pleasant mahogany color with copper hues.
NOSE: Caramel aroma with notes of oak, vanilla, and black pepper, with a hint of cinnamon.
PALATE: Caramel, vanilla and cinnamon, rich cocoa and toffee.
FINISH: Toasted almonds and soft mineral notes.
