The Old Pulteney distillery in Wick is the most northerly distillery on the Scottish mainland. It is a windswept location, where the uncompromising landscape of the Highlands meets the North Sea, and the waves crash against the granite walls of the harbour. The extreme location and unique stills have resulted in a distinctive flavour, bursting with the power and subtlety of the sea. Matured for 15 years, Old Pulteney 15 Year Single Malt Scotch Whisky is our most balanced and smooth single malt. Balancing two different sides of the flavor spectrum, this single malt marries these perfectly, whilst also reflecting our coastal home and its unwavering influence.
Tasting Notes
NOSE: Sweet, rich fruit aromas with a green, leafy note.
PALATE: Smoky with a balanced sweetness. Spicy notes also present – treacle toffees.
FINISH: Touch of smoke with some oak hints detectable. Drier with some nutty flavors.
