About
The Laphroaig distillery was established in 1815 by Donald and Alexander Johnston, it is located in Port Charlotte, and is currently owned by Beam Inc. Since 1994 Laphroaig has been the only whisky to carry the Royal Warrant of HRH, Prince Charles of Wales. It is known for producing one of the most peated Islay single malt whiskys, among Lagavulin, Ardbeg, and Bruichladdich.
Laphroaig Quarter Cask takes its inspiration from the small casks often used for Scotch Whisky in the 19th century and frequently transported across the Glens by packhorse. Non-chill filtered and bottled at 48% alc/vol.
