The Laphroaig distillery was established in 1815 by Donald and Alexander Johnston, it is located in Port Charlotte, and is currently owned by Beam Inc. Since 1994 Laphroaig has been the only whisky to carry the Royal Warrant of HRH, Prince Charles of Wales. It is known for producing one of the most peated Islay single malt whiskys, among Lagavulin, Ardbeg, and Bruichladdich.
Laphroaig 10 Year is the classic bottling from the distillery, very charismatic, very recognized and acclaimed worldwide for its signature medicinal, peaty flavor. It is bottled at 40% alc/vol.

Tasting Notes
NOSE: Huge smoke, seaweedy, “medicinal”, with a hint of sweetness.
PALATE: Surprising sweetness with hints of salt and layers of peatiness.
FINISH: Big and drying, as the savory, tarry notes build up with an iodine complexity.
