About
A new value-oriented project from the De Andrés sisters designed to flaunt all the charms of high-altitude Sierra de Gredos Garnacha. (The Bululú in question was a role in the traveling theater troupes of the Golden Age of Spanish theater). Practicing Organic.
La Vina del Bululu Garnacha is made with 100% Garnacha from old, gobelet-pruned vines in granitic sand at extremely high altitude (1007 meters) in the Sierra de Gredos outside of Madrid. Fermented and aged for 12 months in concrete tanks before bottling with minimal sulfur to emphasize the freshness and purity of the fruit. (The name “Bululú” refers to an actor skilled in mimicry who, in times past, would travel from town to town, playing many parts on their own. (This is itself a reference to one of the old meanings of the word “garnacha”– a Baroque-era traveling theater troupe.)
