About
We are the product of our people, our location and our history. Our whisky, like our island home, is shaped by a wild climate and stormy seas, and by the Vikings who settled here over 1,000 years ago, leaving their mark on our people and our culture. There are people, near and far, whose passion and skill ensures that they – and our whisky – stand apart.
Highland Park 12 Year Viking Honour Single Malt Scotch Whisky distinctive smoky note comes from burning Orkney’s woodless, heathery peat to dry our malted barley. This peat is cut by hand only 7 miles from the distillery on our wind-battered Hobbister Moor Predominantly driven by first-fill European oak Sherry casks, providing darker natural color and a mature fruity yet smoky character Over 12 years, the cool Northern climate of Orkney causes our whisky to age slowly and evenly, providing balanced maturation and depth of flavor.
