About
In the hands of 4th generation Patrick Drouet, this artisan distillery is nestled close to the town of Cognac on a 74 acre estate. The family owns vineyards in the Petite Champagne, but produces cognac only from their holdings in Grand Champagne’s 1er Cru, the top growth area of Cognac, which yield elegant eaux de vie perfect for long ageing in the French oak barrels. Accomplished master distiller Patrick Drouet is a true modern style old schooler, blending the traditional methods and new thinking. Between tending the vines, harvesting, vinification, distilling, ageing, and bottling, all taking place on the estate, Drouet is the essence of the Single Estate Cognac. Produced in small quantities and distilled with great precision and passion, Drouet cognacs are benchmarks, pure and stunningly smooth.
Drouet Hors d’Age Paradis de Famille Grande Champagne Cognac, is the Hors d’Age bottling, and a decades old heritage project for the family. It combines multiple eaux de vies from the Grane Champagne terroir, and is distilled in 1969 by the previous master distiller Gerard Drouet in his 4 hl still, heated by wood and coal.
