Domaine Barmès-Buecher, located in the heart of the Alsace region, just a few kilometers from Colmar and Eguisheim, was founded in 1985 by Geneviève Barmès (née Buecher) and her husband François Barmès. They combined the land holdings of their respective families, who had owned vines in Wettolsheim, one of the region’s largest wine growing towns, since the 17th century.
Geneviève and François chose to grow their vines using bio-dynamic practices, which places the emphasis on a respect for nature, life forces and natural cycles. The Domaine’s 15 hectares were converted to bio-dynamic growing in 1998 and have been certified bio-dynamic since the 2001 vintage.
This form of wine growing allows a closer relationship with the terroir and a better understanding of the environment surrounding the vine and the wine grower.
The Barmès-Buecher family believes in working in a spirit of trust and has a dedicated and committed team upon whom they can rely. The team is made up of 8 people, including Geneviève, Maxime and Sophie, who strive each day to make wine of great quality. All of the work in the vineyards is carried out by permanent and experienced team members in close collaboration with the winemaker and the family. Thanks to their painstaking, meticulous work, the Domaine is able to produce unique wines.

Domaine Barmes-Buecher Brut Nature Cremant d’Alsace comes from the clay-limestone hillsides of Wettolsheim and the sandy loamy plains of Turckheim and Colmar. The Pinit Gris, Pinot Auxerrois, Pinot Noir, and Riesling grape varieties are brought to life by their different terroirs bringing finesse and character to this Cremant. Domaine Barmes-Buecher Cremant d’Alsace Brut Nature is not dosed with added sugar, and in order to retain its natural identity and purity, and allow you to enjoy honest and authentic expression of this natural wine. Every vintage is therefore unique. 56% Pinot Gris, 39% Pinot Auxerrois, 2.5% Pinor Noir, 2.5% Riesling.
