About
Cragganmore distillery was founded in 1869 by John Smith, and it is located in the village of Ballindalloch, Banffshire, Scotland. The name Cragganmore, translated from Gaelic means “big rock”. It is one of the most well known Speyside distilleries, making several of the world’s best whiskys and winning multiple awards.
Cragganmore 12 Year is an elegant and sophisticated Speyside malt, unbelievably complex and satisfyingly delicious! It was matured in second-fill bourbon casks, to reduce the woodiness of the first-fill barrels, and bottled at 80 proof. It was chosen by the Diageo Group to be representative of Speyside in their “Classic Malt” series.
