About
Our distillery enjoys a rich history dating back to 1817. Bladnoch Distillery was founded and built on the River Bladnoch by brothers John and Thomas McClelland. Owned by the McClelland family for 121 years, Bladnoch cemented its roots and contributed a strong history in the south of Scotland. We are one of six Lowland distilleries, however Bladnoch is the southernmost Whisky distillery in Scotland, and is one of the oldest Scotch whisky producers paying homage to rare Lowland whisky. Our first liquid ran through the stills seven years before Scotch whisky production was legalized in the country in 1823. For a distillery celebrating 200 years, the Bladnoch story is only just beginning.
Bladnoch 25 Year Talia Single Malt Scotch Whisky is a spicy yet silky expression that’s elegant and mature, with sweet oaky notes and a hint of citrus to finish. Honoring Bladnoch’s traditional style, this malt is brought together using a blend of three different woods – ex Bourbon, ex Sherry and ex Whisky – and finally finished in brand new American Oak. Crafted without chill filtration to ensure all the flavors, aromas, and texture developed in the maturation process remain, and using only the purest ingredients – water from the River Bladnoch and locally sourced barley. This release is bottled at natural cask strength and color, and coarsely filtered. There’s nothing added or removed, so you can enjoy this whisky as you would straight from the cask. Non chill-filtered, natural color, bottled at cask strength of 49.2% alc/vol.
